  • i used to like the 'brainy lecture' segment

  • This show was a good way to introduce kids to the writings of Lear and Carroll. I went to our local library and found a book of Lear's verse and found it amusing. I can still remember the call "Plant for Mrs. Discovolous!" But would they dare show animation on TV today set to Lear's "The Dong With the Luminous Nose?" Sounds suggestive if you know what I mean.

  • I used to watch this religiously. I didn't remember that it was Lear and Carroll, who as I grew up I became huge fans of. This is such a lovely blast from the past. I wish they'd bring it back, I'd still watch it now I'm 45!

  • omg Yes I remember this!

  • This makes me feel old. This takes me back some forty years!

  • Oh yes.... I do remember this.... Thought I was the only person. No one else I ever mentioned it to remembered. CHEERS, many thanks, T()G /|\

  • Oh my stars and garters! Someone else remembers this!?! I don't know what the artists were smoking but it's undoubtedly illegal. Egad!
