Why did you name the video " Girl Guitarist "?

Women playing free forms of music have come a long way in instrumental mastery,interpretation and taste, sensitivity being their trump card.

Boy or girl it all comes down to natural talent.

Too true, so I've changed it back. I changed it to "Girl Guitarist" because I came home in a huff one night from a gig, there's only so many times you want to hear "not bad for a girl".

You make two points which are dubious:

1. You can't be passionate if you play fast (?)

2. It has to be played exactly like Hendrix (you know.. the fast guitar player) once did.

Perhaps if you wasnt limited by a dogmatic luddite ideal of how songs were played 30 years ago, you could appreciate the energy, personality & passion that new players like this bring to rock music TODAY.

I've seen Hendrix live three or four times. I'd sa there were two or three defining characteristics: the music, the show, the heart.

You don't have to put down one artist to applaud another. This woman has it all. Hendrix was unique. So is she. Enjoy it and quit quibbling. 'Cos it shows you're missing the whole point.

I have a daughter who's nearly 2....I'm a guitar player and I'm going to do just like your dad did and get a guitar in her hand asap...hopefully she might turn out somewhere near as good as you....More girls playing, that's what I say.
