I stay here because I was born here, I live here, so I will die here. I'm a real New Orleanian.

Thanks for sharing, my home town Slidell, Louisiana which sits across Lake
Ponchartrain from New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina left a third of the town homeless and eighty-five percent of the city damaged.

We speak of water, worry it, respect it, thrive on its bounty, exist at its mercy. It is the way of New Orleans and the way of her people. We love the city without hesitation and carry the devotion - despite everything.

God Bless the people of Louisiana. This anniversary breaks my heart every year, and moreso this year. The people of Louisiana dont need Obama, they need a Teddy Roosevelt,

It was a horrible, helpless feeling to see what was going on during Katrina. Unbelievable when Bush declined Mexico's help who had been relatively unscathed by Katrina & who were only a couple hours away. News crews were able to get in & show us bloated bodies floating in the streets yet action from our gov't was still days away. I will never forget a news video of a body, lying on a small piece of high ground, whom someone had covered with an American flag.

The destruction is not here yet.
Read your Bible and be prepared.
