A couple of 59 Beauties here!. Two 59 Chevy ragtops both on display at the American motor show 2000. (Sunday 5th March). Flemington racecourse, in Flemington, Melbourne Australia. Don't know the story of the turquoise one, but i knew someone who knew the owner of the red 'rare59'. Apparently it's the original owner! Been in the country since new! Assembled right hand drive! Now that's super rare in Aus, if another even exists. In Aus we didn't get convertible or pillarless coupe models. They had to be ordered personally through the dealer, if you were rich enough!!!

  • Yeah i think the canadians produced them in rhd for the uk for a little while

  • @houndoggin75 I didn't that the US exported right hand drive '59 Impala convertibles. I've seen '59 Bel Air 4 door sedans & '60 Impala 4 door sport sedan but never a '59 impala 2dr. I would like to find a '59 convertible right hand drive & bring it back to the US. That would be an oddity.

  • Awesome cars! I didn't know that American Chevrolets were ever sold in Australia.

  • @SylarXII I wouldn't know exactly about regulations in the UK but i'm sure you should be able to get an Impala over there!
