  • Is it possible to repair shortages in the Compressor without replacing the whole thing?

  • @Ashwest71 Have you gotten every part of the system checked out? I don't know a whole lot but based on what you said I'd get the evaporator checked out by a professional. That's the part that gets cold and has a fan blow across it to bring cold air into your car.

  • anyone know of a website i can get directions on how to install an air compressor for a 99 mits galant 4cyc??? thanks

  • My compressor kicks when the A/C is turned on but it does not cool. I have had it charged with refrigerant but no dice. What seems to be the problem? Anyone?

  • install the fucker already

  • @willowst91 If it cycles that frequently it often indicates insufficient refrigerant charge. According the to the Ford shop manual, an air conditioning compressor in a normally functioning system should cycle on and off about 4-5 times per minute.

  • no but my cars jerks every time i turn on the ac u could fell the compressor cluctch turning on and off thats not normal...

  • @willowst91 its supposed to do that

  • my compressor does the same ,the clutch stops every 2 seconds ,it stops and it goes.... and it has freon on it..it blows cold ...is it my clutch thats going bad or what. ..somebody help!

  • @denise7823 i'm having the same problem.. how do you jump out the pressure switches????
