Jon Calzo - Jon Calzo holds a unique position in the improvisational music scene in that his main instrument is the turntable. He has astounded audiences as DJ Tenshun and as one half of beat duo, Skrapez. On the turntable, Jon dismantles drum beats until they are totally unrecognizable. His strength as an artist shines as he molds the ricocheting dissonance into head-bobbing slabs of funk-noise. Homemade effect pedals allows Jon to venture into the outer reaches of the sonic galaxy. Always the innovator, Jon will be the first performer in the history of the guitar show to utilize the bass guitar as his weapon of mass destruction.
