Original composition for piano based on a Brazilian Folk Theme.

This is an attempt to, somehow, develop a music backwards, as the original theme is saved for the end:

After a brief introduction exposing some short variations on the theme, the music starts (0:37) with a section leading to the main climax (1:39). There the folk theme can be recognized, although it's not yet in it's original mode. After the climax, there's a dreamy, calm section, showing some other variations on the theme. They modulate one after the other and lead to the second climax (3:36), this one with a much more romantic character. The leading to the coda starts (3:55), and other folk songs are matched together ("marcha soldado" and "a canoa virou" - 4:14) followed by a third climax based on a variation exposed at the beggining of the music (4:24). The coda (4:50) is in fugato form and that's where the "boi da cara preta" theme is presented in its original mode and notes (4:54 to 4:58).

I hope you enjoy it and all comments are more than welcome!

  • Quero ver pra tocar isso, depois...

  • @IkeSamozeu Nenhum problema. Ela foi escrita pra encaixar bem nas mãos. Apesar das evidentes dificuldades aqui e ali, principalmente na coda, não é uma peça tão complicada. Obrigado por ouvir!
