If you drop 2 unopened cans of cola (1 diet and 1 regular) in a pool, will they both sink or both float? The answer may surprise you.

  • How much do they each weigh?

  • @jacksawild it doesn't matter...I think the regular wieghs slightly more, but it's ALL about the density. Anything that has a density that is less than the density of water will float in water.

  • I was right. =D

  • Good job!

  • ha got it right! =] only cuz ive accidentally lost a few cans of regualr pop in a lake before :/

  • this does this because the reg. pepsi can has more sugar and the diet pepsi has less that makes the reg. pepsi more dense than the diet

  • @greeenpro2009 Respectfully, given they have an equal volume I would say the weight (or mass) does matter. I am interested because we don't have those kinds of pepsi here.

  • Well now i know, if im stuck on a desert island with 1 crate of diet pepsi and 1 crate of regulare pepsi, not to make my raft out of the regular. you may have just saved my life. well done.

  • Nice but i prefer dr. pepper

  • yeah course the diet will float the other one has like 40 grams of sugar changing the density

  • my teacher did this at school

  • soda! i believe.... c. don't know which can, but hey.
