This Trout was a challenge, and though small, it gave me a lot of pleasure to hook. It was lying on a patch of gravel tight under a weed bed running into some wooden log or sheathing on the far bank. The nymph came past it three or four times and was ignored. On the cast that got it to take, the fly had hit the edge of the weed bed and sank to the gravel just on the edge of the weed - a small twitch of the line kicked up a puff of silt and it nailed it.
