qeoxsep, They are! Some of the best flute teachers/players/professors are available through flutenet, galway chat (both on yahoo groups) and flute list run by Larry krantz. We ask questions, and talk about all things flute. Google both and you should get them.

I agree with your point. I only wish that more musicians of this caliber would be even more accessible to a wide range of students. I shudder to think of what would change in the world of flute music making if the very best teachers were more readily available for developing younger students!
