For more than three years, around 100 people have been secretly plotting a social media revolution out of a Lutz home. A foreign investor has sunk millions into the project. Supporters have quit their jobs to dedicate their lives full-time to the effort.

UNTHINK is a technology company based in Tampa, supported by a development center in New Delhi, India. In a few weeks, it will launch a new social media venture.

Only, no one in the public knows what it is.

UNTHINK wouldn't even allow interviews inside the Lutz home where the business is based.

"It's going to be very important. It's going to change people's lives," said co-founder Spiro Verras. He gave up his job as a partner at a law firm last year to devote his life to UNTHINK.

He says employees have been holed up in the Lutz house, eating takeout while they prepare to launch what he believes is the next generation of social media.

"I feel like Steve Jobs when they ask him what the next iPhone is going to look like," Verras said. "I'm dying to share more."

While UNTHINK won't specify what it is, the founders will share what it isn't.

"This is not a Facebook clone. This is not Google Plus. This is not someone trying to be Facebook. This is a fundamental unthinking of what it is to be social media," said Verras.

UNTHINK'S promotional videos highlight Facebook issues like privacy concerns, changing terms of use, redesigns, ownership and control.

The latest video shows a woman complaining about what appears to be Facebook constraints. She says, "Enough with your endless dictating, arrogant attitude, disrespecting me, imposing your rules on me, moving my things, jerking me with endless tricks, controlling my news feed, caging me in, making money by interrupting me, constantly spying -- yes, spying on me! I've seen through your illusion of free."

"The problem is more fundamental than the terms of use of Facebook and the privacy policy on Facebook," Verras said. "We're not Facebook bashing."

Company officials say they received millions of dollars from social media investor DouglasBay. UNTHINK says it does not plan to generate profits off of user advertisements.

"On your UNTHINK suite, you won't have any advertisements. There are many ways to make money and we believe in a win-for-all solution. We don't want to make money and have our users hurt in some way, even if they don't know it."

If you want to become an "UNTHINKER", anyone can type in their email address at their website at unthink.com for an invitation code.

The launch date is, of course, a secret.
