GPS Logger based off an Arduino microcontroller board. Enclosed in a Pelican 1030 case.

I built the GPS logger as a senior design project. The major components are the Arduino microcontroller, GPS receiver, SD module, and serial LCD display. The whole device runs off a 9V lithium battery - lithium because these batteries can provide more current and run for longer durations. The software that integrates all of the components logs the GPS data to the SD card. When logging, the user can press the button on the front of the logger to place a mark/note at the current position.

  • The construction looks very nice. Besides that, I'm left knowing nothing about your project. I can't see that it does anything but glow... Further explanation would be awesome.
