You have the freedom of choice for proxies, vpns and dns servers, but at school you don't.

Some school might have a log server. If they recognize you transfer to a tunnel all the time you're suspicious and you might get caught.

I've tried Ultrasurf at my school and it works just fine. I never said I doubted you. I was telling reymysterioizthebest that it is quite worth it to use Ultrasurf to unblock various websites because some of these are actually valuable to your studies at school. That isn't to say it isn't also useful to play flash games while you're there but reymysterioizthebest seemed to think Ultrasurf would only be used for screwing around. I wanted to demonstrate to him/her that this was not strictly true.
