Ok, enough of the BS, no Carpet Crawlers 1999 here or other "versions". Here's the real thing with Peter dressed as Rael singing the REAL "Carpet Crawlers" back in 1975 while on tour with Genesis. While the song is picked up after the first verse and is spliced together with 8mm footage and vintage photos this really is not a bad video clip at all. For 32 year old 8mm footage it's pretty clear! Of course some enhancements are made by Tommygun to improve the viewing experience, but then again, NO ONE on the world wide web does classic 70s Genesis like the one and only original - Tommygun - the man who brought 70s Genesis back to life on Youtube back in 2005!

FYI, an entire Lamb show was recorded at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on January 24, 1975.
This ENTIRE concert was recorded live for the old King Biscuit Flower Hour and is now available as a 2-CD set!
Unlike the box-set release this performance of the Lamb Lies Down On Broadway rock opera has NO VOCAL OR INSTRUMENTAL OVERDUBS! It is the raw-energetic performance as it was meant to be heard..including Watcher Of The Skies and The Musical Box! Those 2 tracks were also left off the box-set release.
THis is the original broadcast and IT SOUNDS GREAT!!
To hear the most beautiful rock music ever written, find a record store near you and buy these CDs from my favorite Genesis era:
Trespass - 1970
Nursery Cryme - 1971
Foxtrot - 1972
Selling England By The Pound - 1973
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - 1974
A Trick Of The Tail - 1976
Wind & Wuthering - 1977

Never forget Steve Hackett's contribution to Genesis. He held the candle for the progressive and more inventive material and once he departed, Genesis became more mainstream. Excellent though Phil, Mike and Tony were(and still are), Peter and Steve were the heart and soul of the Classic line-up.
