It was a place for them to rest hidden from the current when they were small. Now they are big enough to not care about current.

Wow, they got big so quick! How many water changes do you do? Is there anything specific you do to help their growth?

Good food, clean water.
Broccoli, brine shrimp, Hikari Lionhead, Pro-Gold, bloodworms, krill.
70% to 90% water change about every 5 days.
