Hobie Adventure Island whisker pole

Here's a project for your old boat hook. A great way to deal with an unruly sail on long runs.
If you make one, be careful in a following sea, the A.I. tends to submarine and it WILL want to pitch-pole if there is too much air!

metalman, it does help a lot but not so much for speed. I often sail with other AI's and am not any faster than stock boats, (unless I pull out mirage drive),LOL.

I would imagine it would allow you to drive more towards a mark, vs requiring more gybes down wind.
