this video is especially cool cuz you can't really see where its coming from and it doesnt sound like its going that fast (or at least it didn't to me) and then boom! its come out of nowhere and flies through the station! i loved it.

That brought back memories! Me in 1960-61 seeing these "streaks" and other Pacifics belting up the bank through New Barnet to Hadley Wood, sounding like race horses. Only Bittern was behaving like a Deltic in this video!

Just watched it again (no less enjoyable for that!) but I'm intrigued by the flicker on the station lights; is this some effect of the camera?

@JimTLonW6 I think it's the camera trying to focus, you can hear the clicking of the focus finder at the end of the video clicking away. Because of the mist it doesn't know what's where, silly old thing. My new one is much better!

Why making excuses for your son and your cousin.... I mean, they sound like newborn steam-ethousiasts, and there is nothing wrong to that.
An beside that... the voices do belong to the video. One can hear the tension growing and releaving before and after Bittern storms by !

i dunno, some people get annoyed by any noise other than the train, i didnt really mind, he is my cousin and i've got plenty of vids with no talking on it. some people get anal about it though, sometimes understandably though.
