  • Any idea what kind of HP one of these old buggers would put out? I've heard alot of old farts saying they use to use these for Go Kart motors, so they must put out at lease a couple..

  • @GuyPyro87 5/8th hp I beleive, theyre good for small well pumps and things like that. Never seen one on a go cart but im gonna clean it up and see if it will run when i get time.

  • @ChadLand011 Really? Thats it? Wow! These old guys must have weighed next to nothing way back then, lol! I guess it would be good enough for a real young kid. And back then, I guess, a cheap home built go kart wouldn't have been nearly as fast as they are today. So I can see how they would have used these. Wish I could find one. They look like they'd be alot of fun to tinker with.

  • @GuyPyro87 theyre super simple and easy to work on and I get a kick out of makin them run again. Do you sub to Smoott69 ? He's got a few vids of old motors hes fixed and has the best screwdriver in the world.

  • @ChadLand011 I'm not, but I'll check his stuff out. I'm into fixin small engines and such. Don't have any real skill with it, just the take them apart a little, clean them up, throw 'em back together and see if they run kind of fixing, lol! That, And right now I'm getting into that whole "free energy" thing. So I'll rip into just about anything now.

  • @GuyPyro87 thats how you learn, if you make a mistake you know what not to do next time. Smoott69 is a great channel, he has the best rant ever as well, check him out.

  • My friend has a shed full of nice old engines - he should really do a video or something... Got a few nice hit and miss ones as well - they sound so cool.

  • @wolfsheadoil thanks wolf, lets se if she'll run now. I got a project to get to when I get time. Thanks for the comment.

  • @ChadLand011 Most of the stuff I try and fix comes from the dump anyway. So the way I look at it is, You can't break whats already broke. If It doesn't work, oh well. It gives me something to do for the day anyway.

  • @krazy45cat washing machine from the 40's.
