Just an answer to those who've asked or accused...

So what was with the telephones? I started out with the first phone which communicated one on one, kind of like how God spoke to Adam... The later phones were capable of reaching many phones through an Switch operator, which reminded me of praying to our specific God as opposed to false gods. Still later, phones could dial numbers which I reminded me of the law, meaning man had certain requirements to meet to be heard by God...

When I got to Jesus, I switched to touch tone phones... why? Try dialing a ten digit number on a rotary dial... it takes forever compared to the ease of using a touch tone phone. Those long numbers on a rotary dial could also represent the added traditions of men the Jews had made to the Law. Remember Jesus criticized the Pharisees for having traditions that nullified the Word of God? Touch tone was an improvement over rotary just as Jesus' teachings were an improvement over the Old Covenant.

Then at the time of His resurrection, I used cell phones. Thats because until that time - the grace of God and the Holy Spirit were not free available to all people.

Cell phones were used to represent the relationship we have with God through the Holy Spirit as opposed as ritualistic religion. I used the iphone to represent 'perfection' because in my opinion they are the best phones available. I started with an iphone, but regressed in technology... why? Because as time went on - Christianity has regressed in the Ways of the Lord.

Now - most of those old phones won't work with today's systems but if you take an iphone, you have access to the phone, the weather, news updates, the web, and so on... like Jesus compared to the Old Covenant - the iphone offers better access to more features than the old phones did

God never changes, but His relationship with us has. From the Garden till today, we can see the changes throughout the Bible.

As a result, somethings in the Old Testament are as invalid as a five digit phone number... for example, sacrifice all the animals you want, they can't atone for your sin. Only the sacrifice Christ made can do that. No one is stoning adulterers or homosexuals anymore and a Christian shouldn't divorce on a whim like the Jews could - but only under the circumstances of adultery...

Other things are completely compatible today as they were in the Old Testament... love for God and each other, the ten commandments, repentance...

You have to put Jesus first, and then everything else falls into alignment. If something doesn't fit with what He taught, such as the switch operator phones wouldn't fit with today's touch tone systems, then its out... but still - the concepts are the same... a phone is a phone just like a follower of God is a follower of God...

  • hmmmm i posted two long comments but they never appeared....

  • sorry about that - I had comments on approve for this video for some reason - its fixed now!

  • Wow! I have at last seen the light! I was a poor sinner, using my iPhone to keep in contact with my fellow sinners. But now I know better; I have placed it on an altar built out of all my old phones, symbolizing the triumph of the One True Phone over the false phones (phony phones?) and every morning I bow down and worship it. I feel much better now I have put the old ways behind me.

Thank you for your mission and praise be to Apple!

  • I am laughing at your comment hoping you caught the analogy in truth - :)

  • Now that was quick!

But really, I've started worshipping my iPhone!. And it feels right!

Btw, have you ever thought about investing in a teleprompter?

  • LOL - actually - I am making a greater effort not to be obvious when reading - but a teleprompter might be the ticket - lol

  • It seems weird that he would only give them a chance. But as is the case with Noah...He was the only righteous man on earth. Out of all those people...only one guy was saved.. All of the Bible just flows so beautifully to show God's plan of redemption for mankind. Thanks for the video!

  • This is quite interesting. I liked how you summarized the story of the Bible. So many people say "How can the God of the Old Testament be the same in the New?" But I like how you kinda put it all together. It's not that he changed...just the method is different. I think the phones were a good analogy.... God's purpose for mankind is still the same...I've always wondered if God just talked to Adam or Noah or the other guys. Was no one else allowed to talk to him?

  • Hey we still have that 4:16 phone.

    Lol @ Judas Phone.

  • Ah.. I finally completely got this this time. You believe that God changed like technology. Maybe changed isn't the right word because of that scripture that states he doesn't change. Maybe he learned as he went around, if it's all true. Maybe he noticed the plan just wasn't working to enforce it all without grace.
