I was able to ask Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) about why he voted to impose sanctions on Iran considering in the past sanctions have led to war.

Who has the right to decide whether Iran has nuclear weapons. How about looking at the CAUSES, which include selling/giving our military secrets to the highest bidder, and poking our noses into everyone else's business, occupying / bombing them or their neighbors.

I'm not strong on religion, but I do think foreign policy would be managed much better if we applied the Golden Rule, and did unto others as we would have them do unto us.

Sanctions are an act of far and cause harm to people. People starve and die from lack of medicine due to sanctions, this is not something to be taken lightly. As Ron has pointed out many times, sanctions are usually a precursor to. I know Rand is playing the game, but this is crossing the line. He could have voted not and taken it as an opportunity to try and stop further sanctions and inevitable war. Sorry, but I can't forgive him for this one.

everyone needs to relax. Listen to what he is actually saying about war. He doesn't want it. He needed to vote that way to play the game. Be patient people. And in the meantime keep an eye on all your other liberty candidates. There are still 4 more years to figure out who will be the best to run for president. Simply watch it all play out and keep a level head.

so anyone that has a different view from Ron Paul or yourself is a shill now? I don't agree with his stance he HAD, but he explained his posiition. And while we may disagree with it, it sounded genuine, and he really did feel that way. But from what I read, he later blocked the santions bill.
