SHOW THIS VIDEO TO YOUR MECH!!!! If you have a 2002 or newer Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, and Oldsmobile Bravada, the engine is also in use in the Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7, and the Isuzu Ascender. I took this SUV to have complete lube and sevice at the Chevy dealer. They did not lube this part. I bet most lube services place don't grease this area. If this goes bad on the road it could take out the oil pan and the engine!!

  • Pulling the axle and removing the bearing cover is the only way to be sure you are getting grease where it should be.

  • @rocstuff .Thanks for the quick reply. So do you need to drain the oil first? Since you popped the upper ball joint, is there a spring or shock that needed to be restrained first? and if that part (cover) is still OK,can it be cleaned, and regreased, or just buy a new one. Also would you also replace the actuator at the same time? Sorry for all the Qs..thanks again~

  • So do I have to pull the axle to re-grease it?

     Thanks for the great vid!
