I think he did a great job!
comendable.
I don't expect or want him to sound like Steve Perry. We all know there is only ONE Steve Perry. Still this man did an incredible job of bringing the songs to life again in his own way...Kudos to Jeff!

Got to give the guy some credit - he is really trying and he is doing a great job. But... it is hard singing songs that someone else made famous. Let's face it - not matter how great your voice is... SP is a tough act to follow AND... no one wrote songs for or with the "new guy". God bless him and thanks for trying!

They're both tenors though, which is pretty hard to come by. Journey does some high-range songs. Did Perry hurt his vocal chords singing? or what ever happened with him?

Bad recording here his voice is much better than Arnel
more professional he just didnt have the range
I disagree with the comment that JSS didnt fit the image of Journey
Journey had no image it was about he music Journey was never a hair band like
those other bands like Poison Motley Crue and the rest of those joke bands
Journey had the talent musically and didnt have to pander to an audience looking like HOMOs with clown makeup lipstick and spandex
Journey just needed a solid singer

I find it completely appauling that the man with the voice brought forth from the deepest shadows singing his heart out
could not transform the darkest of dark & bring them into the light. I pity you all who could not bask in his glory~ It's Christmas & the lights shine down from the heavens & all will become right~

I agree Soto was a great ! singer . Better than Augeri and Arnel . It's just his image was not right for the band .

I think this JSS guy is better than Arnel, he just has the right accent and soul close to what Perry has, they should have stuck with this guy

I know, sorry for that. I stopped using my camera for recordings like this by now. Just taking photos is much better. :) Back then I thought it was awesome. *lol*
