IBM's ads are black and white because they are old fashioned in their slanderous approaches.
If I wanted to see something in high contrast black and white as a portrayal of "real life", I would have consulted an arts major - yeah, because thats how realistic the world is when you have an arts major.
Thanks IBM for being so in touch with the world once again. Your model is broken!
