In my early 30's. Grew up in philly, live in Boston now. Listened to Kids Corner and Kathy OConnell in the late 80s early 90s. I remember listening to the compududes religiously and even spoke with them a couple times calling in about questions about my Dell 386. Thanks for helping my computer hobby as a kid into a succesfull IT career as an adult. You guys are awesome. I am terribly sorry to hear about the loss of Scott. God bless.
I am Scott Manning's wife. His passing has left us all stunned, as his diagnosis of Stage 4 colon/abdomonal cancer came as a complete shock. His memorial this weekend was overflowing with people who loved him and even those who only knew him a short time, knew what kind of man he was. THANK YOU to Pete, who gave us a DVD of some of their TV appearances. It was a joy to watch & share. I am in agony over his untimely loss, but I am so grateful for the 15 years with Scott as my better half.
I regret to add some sad news. On Monday, June 11, 2008 Scott Manning, CompuDude, passed away after a sudden illness. He was my on air partner for 12 years on WXPN and WHYY (NPR) and friend and I will miss him very much.
Hi Pete, it was great seeing this video. I don't know if you remember me from computer meetings we had at Borders in Springfield and from PACS days gone by. I was going through some old bookmarks I had in FF and eventually got here. Funny how one thing links to another. What are you up to nowadays?
I don't know how well you remember me. I did board operate the show a few times filling in for Tom Terry "AKA Tom Terrific". I was mostly behind the scenes wiring things.

Do I know you? Were you there at the time we were?

I had started working at WXPN when I was 24 and worked there on and off till I was 30. That was the main reason that I kept the broadcast.

Well I am 44 now - I was about 28 when that was filmed 16 years ago - hair was longer too.
