It actually looks like carcillo didn't try to punch him that hard...he ment to just hit him a little to get a fight going. After he punches him, he just stares like "oops..."

All Carcillo had to do was to wait for Matt Bradley to agree to fight. He grabbed Bradley before he dropped his gloves and then punched Bradley. Even if Bradley got unsportsmanlike conduct, every penalty on Carcillo is justified.
