I've often wondered how you feel about the "Leach Tradition" and the fame of your Grandfather and whole family really. I can only imagine what it would feel like to see my family name in every pottery book and to have an entire pottery tradition in my background. You say not to put your Grandfather on a pedestal and this is the first I've heard you speak much of him. I'd love to hear your thoughts, ideas, observations.
Nice tip there about the sketches of plants too. Thanks.
I love those spikey red maples. Are they called Japanese Maples?
You didn't say that 3.15 is a rhododendron :-) They are wonderful in May here in Zurich.
There we go! Yeah! Rhododendron. I love how the buds make it all the way through winter. I'll try to post a vid when mine flower next spring - it is a sight to see.
now i understand what you said on the phone about looking out the window at all the green!!! :) nice garden .. good to speak to you, and yes nature is the best form of inspiration.

That's a rather nice one too.
It is very arid where I live. Not a lot of rain.
I love the green there. I think cloudy moist days have a sort of romance to them that sunny says don't have.
The smells, the wildlife, the diversity of vibrant life has so many more flavors in a wet 'dreary' climate.
Enjoy it while you are in England!
And thanks!

Hello Simon,
Such beauty!
Why Spain over England? I would also enjoy to see Spain's nature. Never been to either...
