@meatabuse That's because AKG currently doesnt have a real flagship full size headphones. AKG K701/702 and Q701 are exellent cans in many ways better than other headphones you can get for the same price, but of course you cant compare them to stuff much more expensive stuff from Stax, Audeze, Hifiman, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic. However, AKG does have a K3003 in-ear monitor headphones which is almost 2000 dollars and is probably one of the best pieces of audio equipment on market.

@freshhh1994 Ye beats are pretty good yo if you compare them with cheapest of Sennheiser's and AKG's....or any other respectable headphone maker. If you compare them with headphones that cost the same as them, then you see that beats actually REALLY suck.

Last statement is incorrect especially for the headphones he was narrating about. AKG K702s are open, so it will not be silent for all but one.

@Coucho Depends on the model. HD650s are made in Ireland. HD800s are made in Germany. Lower models are probably made in China.

Lets just make this clear:
If you buy "Gaming" headsets, you're a tool.
If you buy Beats, you're a tool.
Budget gaming setup: AD700/HD558 + Asus Xonar DG = ~$130.00
The DG has a better DAC, and has Dolby headphone for gaming/movies. If you need a mic get a Zalman clip-on mic for $5.
M50s can be found for 100 dollars and sound better than Beats. With $350 you can get Denon D2000 or Hifiman HE-400 or Beyer DT990 which can scale to world class performance.
