What a beautiful sight. I was sationed at old MAMC from 1980-84. I worked at the Denal Clinic night CQ. The barracks across pendelton dr. from Medigan was home for almos 3 years. Man do I have memories of that place. Washinton state is a beautiful place. from Stillacom to North Fort Lewis to Tillacom all the way to tacoma. Pacific highway. We used to eat at Puerto Ballarta mexican restaurant. I saw Mt. Saint Helen was active during that time.

I was stationed at the Old Madigan Army Hospital from 1962-63. Watched teh Kennedy Assassination from the old barracks dayroom. Went to Alsaka for the earthquake at Anchorage - flew out of McCord AFB. The old hostital was only one floor and spread way out. Why? So that in case of a missle attack the whole hospital wouldn't be lost. This was at the height of the Cold War. Left Madigan for Germany because 4th Infantry Div. at Ft. Lewis got orders for VietNam. So re-uped for Germany
