Sammy the Squirrel: Gift From A Friend

Sammy received a parcel from an admirer. The other toy in the box is his noisy new squirrel. He turned 2 year's old this week. Happy Birthday Sammy.

We rescued Sammy when he was 5 weeks old, after he fell out of a tree. We tried to release him back outside twice but he didn't want to go. This is very unusual for a squirrel, most will wild up, start biting and chew on everything. We never expected to have a squirrel decide our house was his home. Keeping a squirrel healthy with diet, exercise and special lighting is much more complicated than we could imagine. We do not recommend squirrels as pets. They are illegal to have in most US states. Sammy is one in a million.
