URBEX: Abandoned castle 'Castel di S.'

After seeing some pictures of this beautiful and unknown castle it didn't take long before we decided we want to see it ourselves.
Sometimes i think i'm crazy and have to find me another hobby.
2.5 hours in a plane, 3.5 hours in the car, just for an abandoned castle.
Believe me, its difficult to explain to others.. :-)

Abandoned and decayed for 30 years. Even a harness was standing in one of the rooms.

Visited it with Martino.

I wonder why there are so many items in the place. Did the last surviving family member die and there's nobody to leave it to or the castle to now? You should check out the deed on the property and ownership of the castle. You may be able to obtain it from the state if it's abandoned.

i would of taken at least one of those statues..take it home...clean it up...and keep it forever..I much rather see it in my home then have some asshole off the street smash i on the floor

It still amazes me when I see sites where it seems as if the occupants just got up & left one day, leaving so much behind them. It raises so many questions in my mind.
