Gaui Hurricane EP550 in the park

I decided to get my wife to film my Hurricane being flown in a small part near my house. One or two close shaves, but other than that, quite fun... EP550 - the perfect learning heli. Flying with Kong Power 2200mah packs, a ZPower Z20 980Kv engine, CNC blade grips and Raptor 50 skids. 550mm blades - the rest, a stock CF Gaui EP550.

Nice flying there... I agree with CSDCHI... 3D's all well and good, but seeing a large scale heli just swanning around is more my cup of tea! I'm getting a GAUI 550 Hurricane kit next month... it'll be something to build during our summer months, because I doubt I'll get out much with my other helis! (English summer; rain-rain and more rain!!! Or it's too windy!!)

Yeah, I like the 'scale' flights more. See my favorites. There's a scale flight of an Airwolf, which is amazing. Also, Szabo flys a Lama scale... Very cool!

By your flying I can see that you have many years experience flying, especially in confined spaces! I saved this video to my favorites so I can watch it over and over. I don't like all that wild 3D flying all the time. This is nice realistic Helicopter flight. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for that! I agree about the 3D stuff... I like the scale flying style. I wish I was more confident.. I was too scared to fly towards me. Nothing better than flying towards yourself, then coming to a nice stable hover, pointing at you. Thanks for the comment!

@Cralis1 Nope, but I've just ordered a HK500 kit (T-Rex500 clone) as spares are easy to come by and there's quite a few scale canopies out there! Also I got it, along with servos, gyro, motor & ESC for way less than the GAUI :D (yeah; I know the 550 is bigger, but eventually I'll get a 600 size heli when funds allow!!!)

I am very surprised to hear you say you wish you had more confidence and more forward flight skills, It took me years just to learn how to fly in confined spaces. And I totally agree with you on the feeling of flying directly toward yourself, then, using the quick stop technique like we do on the real thing, then going into a graceful hover ... Yes, thank God for helicopters.

Mate the more I see that heli the more I yearn for one myself. It looks so smart. Nice flying and great video, a good advert for the heli.
