That station was somewhere between 1020 to 1120 KHz. So it was not a local station. I just checked KDKA 1020 and that is probably what was playing, Jim Bohannon is on KDKA.

Thanks for the information that is very helpful. Now that I know the name I found it described as extremely rare and fragile. It was sold and they did not a price.

Cool radio. I've found it referred to as an "Emerson Red Translucent Midget". It's from 1947.
There were several 547A cabinet styles and colors. In 2006 a 547A with a creme/ orange marble cabinet sold for $125.00 on Radio Attic. I also found someone selling the photofact for $14.00. Pretty steep.

Thanks. It is unusual. The earliest I have seen is 1947, the document says pre 1949.
