A Columbia Favorite classic cartoon, filmed in technicolor, "The Frog Pond" from 1938. This and many similar cartoons were shown frequently on BBC in the early 1980s.

  • @GTbooster Should be of note the different studios that worked on these. Up to the 1940's it was the Charles Mintz studio, later renamed "Screen Gems" to the end of the 40's when the studio closed and UPA was picked to do cartoons for Columbia through the 1950's.

  • Columbia pictures, makers of Scrappy, Fox and Crow, and Mr. Magoo cartoons never received the attention given characters of other cartoon studios. These cartoons were originally shown in the 1950's on local TV stations, and were a part of at least one Saturday morning show. With the exception of Magoo, these have not been released on DVD, but they are charming, and the music is quite captivating.
