@Saturnome Actually, even if they are talking... it's still a kind of gibberish :) There are fragments of monden and futile discussions, as it usually happens when people gather on these occasions. Only the last words, those pronounced by an old woman's voice, reads what's written on the fallen postcard: it was a birthday postcard sent to the man they were celebrating by his old mother - she was makihg him her best wishes....

..why picture is so dark ?? its pity. but its true that Bardin is one of soviet geniuses.

'wish I could understand the dialog (Bardin's other shorts I have seen seems to use gibberish), but it was fascinating enough.
