This video demonstrates the high beam function of the popular compact Mini-Morimoto H1 or MH1 Bi-Xenon Projector. When the solenoid is engaged the cutoff shield is pulled/flipped down into the high beam position, no longer limiting or controlling the light. When the solenoid is released the cutoff shield springs back into low beam position.

  • What if the projector is stuck on high beam? What could cause that?

  • @liftedv8 It's extremely rare -- it could be a stuck solenoid inside the projector or it could be a wiring issue.

  • do u need a certain wiring/harness to control the solenoid???

  • @jaytabz

Not specifically -- it depends on the vehicle application. The solenoid can be powered by a simple 12 volt positive/negative hookup but a proper bi-xenon harness is always recommended.
