  • steve do you believe in the 2 creator's theory, enlil and enki. also what is your take on et.

  • I believe they are Mesopotamian myths and, as such, I reject them. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I do believe that He is "THE way, the truth and the Life," as he claimed. I understand the narrow nature of that viewpoint, but if one is to take the claims of Jesus seriously, we must believe what He said about Himself. My intent isn't to put down the views of others, but to simply declare the good news of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for us all.

  • I really like how you did this. I'm not religious and I don't believe in god or any other dietified beings, but what you've done here seems like it would be good for believers to hear and you've done it in a very constructive way. *thumbs up*

  • Thank you. I believe Jesus Christ is the answer, just as He claimed. But I think that legalistic, religious form can blind people to the good news of the gospel as taught in the Bible. I'm not against churches - I just believe that they should be known for the good news of the gospel and not their programs and pastors. Christ is the heart of Christianity. Churches need to reflect that fact.

  • @JohnWesleyMethodist My friend, as Steve points out, naturally by ourselves we are never going to want to seek God, so the only reason we would want him is because he himself gave us the desire to want him.We don't examine our lives to see if we have enough faith to come, rather when we hear his voice, we just come, believing his promises and he will be faithful.I prayed for you, God bless.

  • God bless you

  • I myself am alienated from God, because I do not yet have the true Living Faith that the Bible speaks of, and that the old saints such as John Wesley testified to. Only when we have the true faith will God answer our prayers and be our Father. I read one of Steve's books years ago but didn't understand it. It was Grace Walk. I haven't learned enough about his ministry yet to know whether he agrees with men like Wesley/Booth/Murray/Wigglesworth or not.

  • If the vocabulary is the same, but the dictionary is different - we need to clarify terms. James use of "pure religion," has a different meaning than modern usage. Many words change connotation through the years. "Religion" today is typically associated with man's attempt to make himself acceptable to God by doing enough religious things to gain His favor. That stands in contradiction to the biblical teaching of grace - thus, my negative remarks about "religion" as the word is now used.

  • Don't forget that bible calls itself a religion tho. I agree that biblical definition of religion is different to the definition of a religion today.

    (James 1:27)

  • Thanks for the compliment. It may surprise you that I don't consider myself as being religious either. In fact, I teach that religion hides God from people. Have you considered that a person can be a Christian without buying in to all the religious stuff that often is connected to it? :)
