Slovenia In Your Pocket - Postojna Cave Vivarium (Postojnska Jama)

In Your Pocket editor Will Dunn discovers the wildlife of Postojna Cave (Postojnska Jama), the largest cave in Europe. The caves are home to olms (or white salamanders), a blind amphibian endemic to the subterranean waters of caves of this part of Europe. The olms can be seen in the Vivarium next to the visitor's centre. Though blind they are sensitive to flash photography and if you do spot one you should refrain from taking any photos.

other name for this animal is human fish and they can live even up to 100 years, in the old days people used to think they were baby dragons
