I cried. My German Shepherd was pretty much the best dog I EVER had....she was trained but one day , she got out and saw another dog across the street..............She got hit, The car was going 10 miles an hour, i miss her to DEATH , i NEVER will forget her! She was officially the best.

I was eaten by a german sheppherd when I was 3 - my first memory of life was a near-death experience that landed me in the hospital for over a month... and still, they're my favourite breed of dog.

@groovesan they're good dogs and what they do, be companions,and they're good dogs at what they do, be companions, maybe you use your dog only for working and thats cool, but ultimately that dog wants to be your companion too and work, poodles etc are good companions and theres nothing wrong with that, don't give me your ONLY ARE shit

but when it comes to my kids. She watches over them very well and our house has been broken into a few times. I wasnt home but my kids were and my oldest said first thing our dog did was plant herself in front of my kids protecting them from who broke in. They are the best dogs when it comes to protection though. They mean business and they dont mess around.

Shepards are the best dogs:) Im a retired Marine, now im a cop. I use my shepard for drug busts and man I tell ya she will sniff that shit out good. Couple years ago one time she sniffed out 15 bags of Marijuana at a school. Where I live our unit does a drug check every other month. Ever since there has been very few drugs. Cause the kids know shes comin to bust whoever has drugs:) I call her my devil dog girl:) Damn good dog and she is fierce when it comes to chasing people down.
