yea this is the best fix for E74 and its not an overheating problem its the scaler chip. overheating is the 2 red lights. i had this and i did the xclamp fix ( worked for a day) i did the penny fix (didnt work) the towel trick (worked for a few hours) so yea what you did is the best fix

the e 74 is not a over heating problem its the video card comming out from the enternal cooling system just put it back in place it will work fine
