This set of 4 videos explains why portables are another nail in the coffin of good education at CCSD The use of supposedly temporarily portable buildings at CCSD has gone on forever since the days of WW2 buildings being given to the district after the war. Many have sat in the same location for over 20 years. In spite of claims of good planning CCSD has actually incompetently planned the educational facilities across the county. Since they have never gotten it right they simply plunk a group of portables onto almost every campus to compensate for bad management. Over time the Trustees have abdicated responsibility for avoiding the use of portables and instead readily waste the taxpayers money on these unneeded eyesores. More laziness and incompetence has led to using the worst possible portables and placing them in violation of antidiscrimination federal law.
