Douglas Thomas is right about how we're stuck in our old systems of understanding learning. For the typical child (or even adult) today that spends their spare time playing video games, watching TV, on a mobile device or using the Internet, the traditional classroom model doesn't do a good job of holding their attention. It will be interesting to see how new digital learning technologies revolutionize education.
