McCabe: "Basically what I said was, when I wasn't touring--I told you about the beer bottle right?"
AS: Yeah, about punching a wall [in 1997 before "reunion" tour that was cancelled because of Nick's broken hand].
McCabe: "Giving Richard a bit of a slap. (pause) I went home that next day and I told them I'm not going to America for three or four weeks."

@miketheroseman Don't blame Ashcroft for not wanting to rehearse Mc Cabe after he assaulted him with a bottle & walked out of the 98 Euro tour. McCabe admits that he is now on the wagon & says Ashcroft was paranoid - probably for good reason.

@LeaperBoing totaly agree with you 100% man
Ashcroft is a phenomenal songwriter, but McCabe made it special. This is a band, drums. bass and singer that was up with Led Zep, the Who etc., totally amazing, McCabe is seriously otherwordly and he made it unique, he is the Verve.
