@CSTMin21 I'm not saying that they were not trying to win. All I'm saying is that it seems odd that they ran a completely different gameplan in that game then in the rest of the games after the bye. Look it doesn't really matter now anyway, so let's agree to disagree. Good luck in Dallas!

@baconsox2010 youre missing the point. lovie smith said "we were trying to win this football game. that was our goal going into it" so dont try and pull some bullshit like they were only trying to get a look at the blitzing schemes. they were trying to win and knock the packers out, and if it was reversed the packers would try to do the same thing and you know it. everyone does.

@CSTMin21 Look at the Bears pass/run ratio after the bye week and then compare that to the last game against the Packers. Lovie kept the starters in so that they could get a good look at Don Caper's complex blitz looks. Obviously it didn't work out, and congratulations on last week's victory. I also would like to point out that Chicago still is the only city in the US to win a title in all 4 major sports in a 25 year period, so I'm not too sad. I still have the Bulls, Hawks, and Sox.

I was waiting to congratulate the Packers until after the Super Bowl, as I'm actually rooting for them to beat the rapist. I will admit that the better team won and good luck on Sunday.

@baconsox2010 haha youre such an idiot. if the bears let the packers win then why did they keep their starters in the whole time? and why were they driving so fast at the end of the game? so they could beat the packers and knock them out of the playoffs you idiot! lovie smith even said that they were trying to win that game. and i bet you feel like a real dumbass now along with every other bears fan. at this day and age, we measure teams greatness with super bowl rings, and we outscore you 3-1
Packers fans, please be nice. :3 This video was a bit of trash talk for before the game. We know how the game turned out. No need to rub salt in the wounds now :3

I'm favoriting this video just so I can come back and laugh at you after the Bears kicked the Packers collective asses. The Bears beat you in the only game that both teams actually cared about. The Bears let the Packers into the playoffs because they knew they could beat them if they met them again. In a week, I will be back and I will be laughing. Also, comparing Cutler to Rodgers is just silly when you look at who each of them have to throw to.

@baconsox2010 I acknowledge your last point as reasonable, but even with our receiving corps I imagine Cutler would throw about as many interceptions. That's on him most of the time. And if the Bears let the Packers in, why did Lovie Smith play his starters the whole game when his QB was getting knocked around every other play? And why did Devin Hester say on the record that they were playing to keep the Packers out? I believe it'll be a good game, and I'm just having a bit of fun. :3 Good luck.

@AvidViewer567 I have still not figured out why Lovie kept the starters in. If you look at the Bears gameplan for the game it was nothing like the gameplans for every other game they have played since the bye. They reverted to the pre-bye bears where Martz would have them throwing ever play and taking 7 step drops which is why there were so many sacks. If the Bears stick to the running game they definitely have a chance to beat the Packers. Actually I was amazed that the last game was so close.

@baconsox2010 Yeah, I definitely agree that with a post-bye type gameplan they would have had a much better chance to beat the Packers. I wasn't too surprised by the game being close, but I certainly expected both teams to take advantage of the other team's defense a little better. As for the starters, I'll never understand that. haha
