  • Steve Poltz was using his hyperbole when he says $10,000 no $20,000... The Chadwick Folding Bass costs only $3600 with the case, completely set up.

  • @drewpress Thanks man, yeah im travelling a lot and I dont want to keep renting and buying/reselling cheap quality basses everywhere I go. This bass is at the top of my list right now, I was also checking out the lemur fly away bass which looks like a more legit sounding bass but the case it comes in looks weaker than the chadwick. Thanks for the info.

  • @osmarokuma I'm using D'addario spiracore (or helicore? I'm not sure what the difference is) pizzicato strings. I have a Fishman Full Circle pickup. It sounds great amplified. I play it through a 1996 Walter Woods head and either an Aguilar 2x12 cab and/or a Euphonic Audio VL208 cab from the late 1990s.

It sounds great bowed. I highly recommend the instrument, especially if you travel. I've checked it on flights. It's survived them without issue.

  • What strings are you using? Im thinking about buying this bass but I wasnt sure about the sound quality amplified. How about the bowed sound?

  • @peaceofsun This comment is making the hotdogs on the back of my neck drip with angry sweat.

  • I can't believe Andrew Pressman of all people is putting his bass on the concrete.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the post!

  • There's also golfing guitars and bikes. Next will be folding musicians :-O and I hear you're pretty darn flexible, so maybe you'll be the folding musician prototype :-D

  • saweeeeeeet

  • Charlie Sheen?! he he! That's rad.
