@stewart113 Arkham the town. The town from Lovecraft's stories that the creators of Batman used when naming Arkham Asylum.

The driver sounds like Assy McGee.

@stewart113 But there is an insane asylum in Lovecrafts Arkham. Most main characters of his stories end up there.

Arkham? That is funny.

@MajBlood YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
Video maker, have you read any HP Lovecraft? I am looking to broaden my reading. Would you recommend it?

@MajBlood If the story and setting presented here intrigue you, then it would be worth your time. This game is loosely based around 'Shadow Over Innsmouth' and 'Shadow Out of Time'. Oddly enough, the story it's named after has nothing to do with it, though the story 'Call of Cthulhu' is almost required reading for Lovecraft. 'Rats in the Walls' is also great, as is 'Nyarlathotep'.
The site hplovecraft (add the com to the end) has ALL of his writings online to read for free. Enjoy.

@darkchiron Since this game is loosely based on "Shadow Out Of Time", does it feature The Great Race Of The Yith?

@BloodyBart888 The giant beings in the opening sequence where Jack opens the portal are Yithians. They also appear in the end credits. I THINK they're in another cutscene somewhere toward the end of the game, but I can't remember when exactly.

Ok. So why did that one guy asked you to come down? and then they later bring him into the town but to only try to kill you. I mean Jack
Robinsnl 1 year ago
@Robinsnl The person who asked you to go to the town doesn't live there. He was the owner of the general store that got robbed, and just knew the local police of Innsmouth couldn't be trusted to investigate properly.
