G.C Cameron's first song as The Spinners new lead singer was "Bad Bad Weather (Till You Come Home)" released in 1968, it was co-written by George Gordy, This song would have been a good follow up for David Ruffin to "My Whole World Ended"

  • Actually The Spinners left and GC stayed behind at Motown cuz he was married to Gwen Gordy, who had divorced Harvey Fuqua by this time

  • You wrote bab. Just sayin'.

  • do you?

  • The Spinners first hit after leaving Motown's VIP label was "I'll Be Around" which was on the Atlantic label. It was produced by Thom Bell from Philadelphia. Thom produced many of his hits by the Stylistics, the Delfonics and others. This was where the group ended up in Philadelphia after leaving Detroit.

  • Good song, but it was the first of many songs with GC Cameron singing lead with the Spinners. After leaving the Motown label, "In My Diary" was on your previous vid on the VIP label. Their only successful hit for the Spinners on the VIP label was "It's a Shame". After GC Cameron left for a solo career, Phillip Wynne joined the Spinners until they ended up at Atlantic in around 1972 after leaving Motown's VIP.
