Why Buy a Mac - (Mac bias)

Shows a Apple's front Row and Microsofts Media Center.This is a bias view as I really do like my switch from Windows to the Apple Mac OS.

Heck Front row doesn't even look like this anymore and yes Microsoft's media center can do a lot more... when it works :)

Apples pretty new the computer business if u compare them to PC if they would've been working on it as much as Microsoft they would have been more successful and apple would have been biggest company in the computer business, imo:o

@globalko Trying to understand what you mean by this? Apple has been in the computer business since 1976? Microsoft started around 1975 even though they don't actually build computers but software for them. One reason Microsoft and Windows are so big is Bill made a good deal with IBM who had a lot of PC in the business market and they had to put is DOS on them. Smart move still DON'T think they have the best OS though :)

@disneya380 umm your proving my point ... you can run vista on a 2002 pc even though like i said vista is crap ... and just ftr i have windows ultimate 7 edition 7600 running on a 2ghz cpu with 1 gig of ram .. it runs extremely well and that computer is from the late 90s .ive also seen 1 ghz shared video memory tablets running 7 extremely well ... the kernel for 7 is more efficient than the leopard kernel this is a fact ... your a moron that likes to spit nonsense, so you dont understand that .

@Clarkeness I disagree. The reason Windows is the so much bigger than Mac OS is because Windows works on more hardware. Apple on the other hand locked down it's OS mostly because they were having a hard time getting their OS to work on all hardware. So they locked it down so they would have less bugs, and less code to fix. Mac had viruses all the way up until OS9. Now OSX is based on ideas Apple took from mkLinux, BSD, and NextStep. Windows can't be fix with rewriting the whole OS.

You can customize PCs in limitless ways, so saying that Macs are faster than PCs is like saying that men are ALWAYS better at math than women.

@Clarkeness The reason microsoft has more success is cause the os is more simple and its CHEAPER

and besides those facts the options are endless cause you can build a pc with what you please and people would rather buy a mac than build cause the install process is so complicated put back to my point people know how to build windows pc but even if they do they would more than likely they would go and buy on off the shelf and buying off the shelf is the way to go but buying a mac is to overpriced

Macs are not virus free only less susceptible to viruses because hackers don't care about macs as 99% of all servers dont run on Mac Os X.
