If your children are 8-10 years old, and you still have to spank them, then you didn't do your job as teaching them to make quality critical decisions to stay out of trouble. People don't do the other part of disciple which is teaching them critical thinking skills of how to NOT make piss poor decisions. Some parents need a taste of their own medicine

@inteltag Agreed. That was just my punishment for doing bad. I'm not a violent person, and don't have any trauma related to getting spanked. There's quite a difference between getting spanked, and getting beaten by someone out of control. Young kids who are victims of real child abuse don't try to stand up to their abusers, out of fear they will be attacked. It's interesting, though, how some children that get [spanked] will threaten to tell on their parents. It's how they get their way.

well i always look to the bible and it says " parents do not be irritating your children and children do not be irritating your parents and its true !! what that means is have love for your child and if u read in the bible what loves means "love is long suffering and kind love is not jealous it does not brag does not act indecently does not become provoked theres more could not fit it in but basically also jesus would not hurt a child he tlked to them and they loved it thats how we treat r kids
