The person who said that you can learn from videos. Is talking through there head. I did capoeria in London for over a year and I thought it was great. Though since moving to Brazil and joining a capoeria academy, I now know I was conned.
This video is more like a gymnastic demonstation, again people are being conned.
Grimsokes go to a real Brazilian roda and see how easy it is and how long you will survive.

Capoeira is much more based around playful interaction than self defense. But don't underestimate a Capoeirista. Ultimately though, it depends on the fighter more than the art... Theres no 'Superior Discipline' There's a cool clip on YouTube of a Capoeirista fighting a Kung Fu artist, they both kicked ass.

capoeira is definetly beautifull and art an martial art but it definetly isnt for fighting i got a cousin of mine who does it and she insists that capoeira could win a kung fu student (im learning kung fu) as i already said its good but its not completly directed to fighting does it?

i train capoeria its not like that hard when you can do a good backflip its easy to learn all thos things
