@OrangeSodaKing It's impressive isn't it!?
-
@JoQ1303 Viner is your son? Your son is exceptional!
That's crazy. He is less than a year older than my brother and he can do THAT.

@Ugluk316 Hope the Curtis flock is well! - You can find me on Facebook.....

@JoQ1303 Excellent, then it must express its well wishing on behalf of the Curtis flock, We remember the playing of Liszt and have never since encountered anything so technical. You did good to escape the duldrums. Lowestoft is the same rancorous old pit and we have since gone in a more Beccles-ly direction.

@4candles Mark is just 21....
-
@Ugluk316 Yes this is the very same Mark Viner!!!!! - My son!

I've already heard this recording and commented on it, but I will just say again: GENIUS playing and BRILLIANT execution! It's so confident and refined! Thank you for the upload, 4candles! I'm currently practicing the 1st movement (I finally have decided to do it either next year or maybe even next semester after learning the repertoire my professor currently wants me to do).

@OrangeSodaKing I agree!
This performance, from a pianist so young (I think Mark is in his early 20s!) is musically and technically very assured and solid.
I hope your plans to learn the first movement go well.
I will be uploading more of Mark's Alkan recordings in the coming days.

@4candles What else has he recorded by Alkan?

@OrangeSodaKing I will soon be uploading a non-commercial recording of Mark playing the Marche Funebre, Op. 26, along with THE Barcarolle and three Etudes from the Op. 35 set. All very accomplished performances from someone so young!
